Cathey Franke is a music-obsessed, 30-something writer/artist who spends her daytime hours masquerading as an office peon solely for the benefits package. She wasn’t born in South Texas but got here as fast as she could because Uncle Sam said so. While plotting her epic escape out of the Bible belt, she raises her little boy on punk rock, teases PC lovers and dances badly. Talk to her about photography, activism, living out of a suitcase, and writing that kicks her on her ass. Don’t talk to her about intolerance, spiders, wake-up calls, or a world without Chapstick.

Hey Cathey! Hope you’re doing well. I wanted to email you but can’t seem to find your email address anywhere here (if it is here somewhere well, you understand). There’s just a couple of things I wanted to say/ask that I’d rather not be “out there”. I also wanted to send you pic of “Stuck in green”. I’m not really showing pics of my recent work until I have a show, but would like to show it to you. Would like it to have a suspense/surprise factor to it. Yes I’m a tease at first but eventually I always put out!
I’ve passed your blog along to some friends, one is a writer and I’m hinting at her need to start writing again, hopefully some admiration and envy will jolt her. The other one is an artist and music lover as you and I’m sure she’ll enjoy your reviews especially.
